Yorkshire Middle Route with Sue

This weeks Yorkshire middle route Combine race from Huntingdon on the 14TH of June 2014 was liberated in a light North East wind and topping the Combine and the West Section is R. Nicholls of Goole on 1228. Topping the Central Section is Graham Howman of Hull on 1195. Topping the North Section is Terry & Paul Douthwaite of Scarborough on 1178. Topping the South Section is Sam Jackson of Driffield on 1178. Well done everyone

 

West Section

Goole L.M.S.H.S. 11 members sent 136 birds with the red card going to R. Nicholls on 1228 with a self bred 3yr old Vandenabeele cock from his dad Brian. Second place went to G. Nicholls on 1198 with a 2yr old self bred Herman cock which was 1st Arras. Third place went to Paul & June Battersby on 1194 with a 5yr old self bred Vandenabeele cock which has already had a 2nd from billericay this year. Fourth place went to R. Nicholls on 1191 with a 4yr old self bred Vandenabeele cock from his dad.

Haxby Flying Club. 5 members sent 78 birds with the red card going to Barry & Chris Mason on 1208 with a yearling Delbar. Second place went to Pete Hammond on 1206 with an A. Marshall x Van Reet 2yr old hen. Third and Fourth place went to Bill Shaw on 1167 and 1166 with a pair of Wildemeersch x Van Reets.

Pocklington H. Society. 7 members sent 93 birds with the red card going to George Atkinson on 1184 with a Vandarhee x Van Hove. Second place went to S. Ireland on 1163 with a Van Loon x Hartog. Third place went to D. Carlton & Sons on 1162 with a Janssen. Fourth place went to T. Edwards on 1146 with a Ponderosa Janssen.

Tang Hall W.M.H.S. 3 members sent 28 birds with the red card and second third and fourth places going to Barry & Chris Mason on 1147, 1147, 1115 and 1114 with first three being Delbars x Janssen and the fourth was a Winnie Hagston cock.

Second place went to Matthew Hutchinson on 1162 with a Leo Heremans x Jacob Poortvliet. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1157 with a Premier Stud Albert Derwa which has had 2 x 1sts and many other cards as well. Fourth place went to Bernard Gray on 1151 with a Dean Pallat Staf Van Reet x Nathan Hoggard Soontjen.

Scarborough Social Club. 9 members sent 132 birds and taking their 7th red card of the season is Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1178 with a Vandenabeele x Koopman x Arien Vereckt. Second place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1165 with a Dave Beswick Karel Boeckx which has 1 x 1st 2 x 4ths and 1 x 3rd to its name. Third place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1150 with a Arien Vereckt x Keith Bosdua which has had a 1st. Fourth place went yet again to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1150 with a Phillips x Willy Vranken which has had a 2nd and 3rd open before.

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 10 members sent 76 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to D & T Green on 1130 and 1119 with a pair of roundabouts bred out of his Borgles family. The win was needed as his Taxi has broken down. Second and Third place went to K & H Green on 1124 and 1122 with a pair of natural Ark birds with plenty of training. 

Cullingworth Harry (Colin) 16th June 2014. It is with great sadness that the members report the sad loss of one of the clubs hardest workers, Harry who was a good friend and gentleman to all the fanciers he came across. Harry you will be sadly missed from all the members of the Hull Millennium Club.

Kingston Flying Club. 8 members sent 71 birds with the red card going to Gary Cox on 1176 with a multi winning Premier Stud Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Gary Cox on 1174 with a Premier Hereman Ceuster. Third place went to Pete & Angie Burke on 1167 with a yearling bred off winners. Fourth place went to Gary Cox again on 1158 with a Premier Stud Van Dyke. 

Sutton Flying Club. 6 members sent 45 birds with the red card and Second and Third places going to Driscoll & Son on 1066 1029 and 1026 all with their self bred Soontjen hens. Fourth place went to D & D Allen on 1024 with a De Klak Janssen cock which has already won a race this year and is bred out of a pair bought at Blackpool. 

Walton Priory Club. 6 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Haldenby on 1123 with a Gary Cox widowhood cock.
