Mr & Mrs Edmonds top Combine from Billericay

This weeks Yorkshire middle route Combine race from Billericay on the 31st of  May 2014 was liberated in a North West wind and toppingthe Combine and the South Section is Phil & June Edmonds of Hornsea on 1434, North Section went to Mervyn Hinchcliffe of Filey on 1421. Topping the Central Section is John Raines of Driffield on 1389. The West Section winner was George Atkinson of Pocklington on 1348. Well done everyone

Society. 7 members sent 142 birds with the well deserved red card going to Combine President 84 year old Phil Edmonds when I say well deserved it is as nothing is too much trouble for him like loading the transporter and getting all the cardboard for the clubs. Phil & June pictured left clocked a yearling Hereman Ceuster x Wildemeersch which has a 2nd Bovingdon 3rd Sleaford 1st Huntingdon as a young bird and a 3rd Huntingdon this year as well. Second place went to Gavin Leahy on 1418 with a Vandenabeele. Third place went to Phil & June Edmonds again on 1407 with a brother to the winner. Fourth place went again to Phil & June Edmonds on 1403 with a Vandenabeele.  

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 12 members sent 246 birds with the red card and Third place going to John Wadsworth on 1430 and 1425 with a pair of Paul & Helen Johnsons Van Loons. Second place went to G. H. Sparkes on 1425 with a Premier Stud Premier Olympiad. Fourth place went G. H. Sparkes on 1393 with a Premier Stud Hardy Kruger. 

Withernsea Homing Society. 6 members sent 59 birds with the red card going to Trevor Robinson on 1375 with a Dave Fussey pigeon. Second place went to Trevor Robinson on 1375 with a Steve Turley Van Huvel. Third place went to Dean Adamson on 1372 with a John Rawson pigeon. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1363 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster. 

Bridlington D.F.C. 10  members sent 179 birds with the red card going to John & Linda Chadwick on 1400 with a self bred 2yr old Premier Stud Heraman Ceuster which has had a 3rd this year. Second and Third places went again to John & Linda Chadwick on 1400 and 1390 with a pair of sisters from a Van Dyke x Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1380 with a Jan Loot x Hofken

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 4 members sent 30 birds with the red card going to Mick Holdsworth on 1252 with a self bred cock. Second place went to Mike Farnell on 1247 with a Persoon cock. Third place went to Paul Lawson on 1215 with a self bred cock. Fourth place went to John Kemp on 1026 with a self bred cock Mike Farnell wins nom.

Second place went to John Robson on 1379 with a Harry Smith bird which had a first from Arras. Third place went to Tony Robson on 1361 with a Marina Van De Velde. Fourth place went to Bob Bedford on 1343 with a Frank Sheader Kipp. 

 

Scarborough Social Club. 11 members sent 159 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1358 with a Janssen which has had a first as a young bird. Second place went to Keith Todd on 1354 with a Janssen x De Klak which won Billericay this year and was 2nd section and 5th open. Third place went to Pete Thorpe on 1352 with a Dave Thompson Lindelauf which is Pete’s first pigeon every time from Billericay Fourth place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1345 with a multi card winning Geert Philips x Willy Vranken.

 

Whitby Premier Club. 12 members sent 221 birds with the red card going to Alan Richardson on 1383 with a yearling Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster widowhood cock which wads 2nd Huntingdon this year. Second place went to Les Winspear and John Cowey on 1381 with a yearling roundabout Lambrechts cock bred by Westlea Lofts which was 1st from Sleaford this year

Third place went to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1375 with a yearling Kevin Lawson Soontjen x Van Loon roundabout cock. Fourth place went to Brian Storr Bros & Son Jason on 1345 with a Dawson & Rutledge of Gateshead yearling Soontjen roundabout hen which has had minor cards last year. S Mallinson & Son win the pools

Second and Fourth places went to John Raines on 1389 and 1367 no details. Third place went to Pete Dixon on 1380 with a Cattrysse of the late Derek Stephenson stock.
