YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS with Sue Skelton

This weeks Yorkshire middle route Combine race from Huntingdon on the 17TH of May 2014 was liberated in a  wind and Topping the Combine and the South Section is Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse of Bridlington on 1445. Topping the West Section is George Atkinson of Pocklington on 1403. Topping the North Section is Derek Howard and Paddy Johnson of Scarborough on 1397. Topping the Central Section is Jaz & Maxine Edeson of Driffield on 1391. Well done everyone

 Coastal South Section

Bridlington D.F.C. 9 members sent 111 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1445 with a Premier Stud yearling multi scoring Hardy Kruger. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1445 with a Premier Stud yearling Albert Derwa. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1445 with a Premier Stud yearling Heremans Ceuster which won Huntingdon last week. Fourth place went Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1419 with a Premier Stud yearling Hardy Kruger. 

Flamborough Homing Society. 4 members sent 36 birds with the red card going to Mike Farnell on 1309 with a Verheye hen. Second place went to Mike Farnell on 1291 with a Mick Holdsworth Soontjen gift bird also Mike wins the nom. Third place went to Paul Lawson on 1272 with a Janssen cock. Fourth place went to Paul Lawson on 1270 with a Janssen.

Fourth place went to Billy Carr & Son on 1362 with a Southfield Supreme x Soontjen. 

Withernsea Homing Society. 6 members sent 40 birds with the red card and Second and Fourth places going to Dave Beadle on 1355 1318 and 1311 with his family of Premier Stud pigeons. Third place went to Dean Adamson on 1316.

Hunmanby Homing Society. 6 members sent 64 birds with the red card going to John Robson on 1377 with a Harry Smith Jan Loots gift bird. Second place went to John & Les Hill on 1362 with a Tommy Bussell & Micky Chappel Busschaert hen sitting a 7 day youngster. Third place went to John Robson on 1361 with a Hereman Ceuster x Hofken off Chris Baxter. Fourth place went to John & Les Hill on 1361 with a Janssen x Busschaert hen sitting a 7 day old young bird.  

Scarborough Social Club. 10 members sent 110 birds with the red card going to Derek Howard and Paddy Johnson on 1397 with a Keith Arkless x Willie Garnett pigeon which has scored Inland many times but this is his first race over the channel. Second place went to Pete Thorpe on 1395 with a Lefebre Dhaenen which has had prizes before. Third place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1394 with a Quirijnen x Hereman Ceuster which has had a 1st Peterborough. Fourth place went to Allen & Ingles on 1379.

Whitby Premier Club. 10 members sent 92 birds with the red card going to Alan Richardson on 1384 with a yearling Louis Thijs Heremans Ceuster widowhood hen. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1354 with a yearling Karel Boeckx x Josef Goovaerts widowhood hen. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1349 with a Soontjen x Gert Heylen 2yr old widowhood hen.  Fourth place went to Les Winspear & John Cowey on 1346 with a Fountainhead Janssen x Leo Van Rijn 2yr old Roundabout cock. A Richardson wins the pools.

Filey Homing Society. 5 members sent 80 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1388 with a Minderhoud x Marina Van de Velde. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1377 with a Jacob Poortvliet x Louis Thijs. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1375 with one from Hubert Schroyns stock. Fourth place went  Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1357 with a Mr & Mrs Purver of Skinningrove Vandenabeele.

Loftus Homing Society. 7 members sent 57 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Murphy on 1357 with a with a 2yr old Lemmens of Holland natural hen. 

Second place went to I. Brown on 1355 with a 3yr old roundabout Alan maul's cock which has had a 1st and 2nd over the water. Third place went to I. Brown on 1355 with a 2yr old roundabout Van Steian cock. Fourth place went to I. Brown again on 1342 with a 2yr old Van Steian cock.

 

Central Section:

Second place went to Sam Jackson on 1380 with a multi prize winner and double R.P.R.A winner. Third place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1378 with a S. Mallinson Multi prizew winning Barberien which won Clermont last year. Fourth place went to Sam Jackson on 1373 with a Soontjen x Hereman which won Bourges in 2012. 

Kingston Flying Club. 5 members sent 32 birds with the red card going to Donny McCracken on 1322 with a 2yr old multi prize winning Wildemeersch widowhood cock flown north and south. Second place went to Craig Clark on 1322 with a cock that has won Bourges. Third place went to Wright & Scott on 1320 no details

Fourth place went to Donny McCracken with a 2yr old wildemeersch cock.

Stone & Son on 1372 with a 2yr old taking all the pools. Third place went to Hall & Dearlove on 1368 with a 3yr old which has taken cards before.

Second place went to Steve Neale on1304 with a Hereman Ceuster. Third and Fourth place went to Winnie & Son Tom again with a pair of Mike Kirby Vandenabeeles. Alan Beevers win the meat nom.
